The Busyness of Life

Do you ever find that life is so busy you can barely keep up? We are kind of at that point. We work all day and then come home and work all night until it is time to go to bed. We go to bed in the 9-10 p.m. range because each morning starts at 5:00 a.m. for my husband. I usually make it up by 5:30 a.m. on M, W, F when I have to drive an hour to work. I just feel like even the weekends are crazy busy. It does make Sunday a much more relaxing day when all we have to do is go to church and relax a little. I live for my Sunday afternoon nap. I keep telling my husband that I'm hoping we'll slow down a little soon as I just need a little break. Does everyone feel this way - or are we just out-of-control, out-of-the-norm busy?

I hear you! Jobs, house remodeling (with an ever-nearing deadline), church stuff, Bible studies, doctor's visits, bills to pay, house to clean, people...

Why didn't I appreciate my carefree childhood??

Sometimes, we decide to let things slide a little despite the consequences, just because we need a break - we turn off the phone and eat supper in peace, then spend an hour or two just talking. Heavenly!

If you really need a break, try picking a random Saturday in the future and blocking it out for nothing but sleeping in and hanging out. Lock your doors, leave your computer off, and turn off the phone. :-)

Sandra!!! wow i was so excited to find you through someone else's blog and thought that i'd say hello! Sounds like things are pretty busy for you guys from your blog. Tom and i are looking forward to moving in the fall since he will be starting graduate school. I'm sure our lives will sound like you and your husband's busy schedules then.
glad to have found you.

That sounds like a great plan. We really need one of those weekends. This Saturday we are going to Walt Disney World for the day, so I guess that counts as a day off. :)
