Sad Day

You know how it is when you have a comfort piece of clothing - something you just love to hang out in on ANY day of the month because it feels good? I have two pair of black mesh shorts that have been comfort pieces of clothing for the last 10 years, literally. They travelled to Guam and back with me. They went on many hikes and many swimming adventures. They have lounged around the house for endless days and even been exercise apparel. I have slept countless nights in them. In the last few months I have noticed them having a few age issues. Their elastic seems to be dying. Today I came to the conclusion that it is time to lay them to rest forever. They just don't stay on like they should due to their elastic issues. So, it was with a sad heart that I sent them on to a better place - most likely a landfill. Happy Earth Day.
